Abdominal cramping in IVF

Mild to moderate abdominal cramping is to be expected during various stages of the IVF treatment. Medications used to shift the hormonal changes can cause cramping. The procedures like egg retrieval and embryo transfer can cause cramping too. The days after the embryo transfer, mild cramping can be observed due to possible implantation. While cramping is normal at the various stages of the IVF cycle, you can always talk to your fertility expert about it if you are concerned in any way.
