You will be asked to take various blood tests through the IVF treatment. At the start, you will be subjected to Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV tests. This is done to ensure that you are not accidentally passing infections to any children you bear with IVF. Any incompatibilities between the couple’s blood types, diseases and genetic disorders can also be detected this way. It also protects the people who work and handle your samples during the treatment. Both the partners will have to undergo these tests. The woman will also have to take a blood work test which will also contain FSH levels. This will help your fertility expert assess the quality and quantity of the remaining eggs.
