Mood swings in IUI
Mood swings are often seen during the early pregnancy stage. During IUI, you will be given some hormones like progesterone to support pregnancy. Progesterone supplements are given to the woman after IUI to thicken the uterine lining and to make it more receptive to implantation of the fertilised egg. Unfortunately, progesterone and other hormones do not just aid pregnancy. They also reach the brain and modify the way we think and the way we process information. They may cause mood swings, depression, bloating and headaches. The good news is that the mood swings and the other side-effects go away once the levels of these hormones in the body go back to normal.
