Pre-IVF blood test

• On the second or the third day of the female’s menstrual cycle, pre-IVF blood tests will be done. This is an initial hormone testing to determine their levels in the blood.
• Post embryo transfer blood test
• The last set of blood tests will be done to weeks after the embryo transfer stage. During the two weeks wait, the embryo would have hopefully attached itself to the woman’s uterine lining. To see if the pregnancy is established or not, a blood test will be done to check the levels of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG). hCG is the pregnancy hormone and its presence in high quantities indicates a positive pregnancy.
