Vaginal discharge in IVF

After the embryo transfer, you may be given progesterone by means of suppositories, vaginal tablets or gels during the two weeks wait. This can cause vaginal discharge that has nothing to do with the outcome of the IVF transfer. An increase in vaginal discharge can point to positive pregnancy but it can only be confirmed through a blood pregnancy test. If pregnancy is indeed the reason, the vaginal discharge will be mild-smelling, white and thin.
